Maple Lawn West will be the next stage in the award-wining vision of the Maple Lawn residential community of neighborhoods.

 

The next step in the long-term development plan of Maple Lawn builds upon the promise and vision of the current award-winning, 600+ acre, mixed-use development, centrally located along Route 29, between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

 

The Maple Lawn West neighborhood will consist of single-family homes, townhomes, apartments and additional amenities, including outdoor recreational facilities, walking pathways and open spaces.

 

Maple Lawn West will expand upon the vibrant community created in Maple Lawn to include additional homes for individuals and growing families who want to live in a great community in Howard County.

 

The existing Maple Lawn community was built on the principles of Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) inspired by the small towns of turn-of-the-century America. These principles will also be carried out in the design of Maple Lawn West.

 

Maple Lawn West will be consistent with the architecture, look and feel of the existing award-winning Maple Lawn community with pedestrian-scaled neighborhoods with small blocks, varied housing styles, and interconnected tree-lined streets that encourage walking and interaction among residents of the various neighborhoods.

 

Additionally, the Maple Lawn West community will provide an economic boom to Howard County by helping to increase the tax base through the creation of additional homes and residents in the area.
